EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
One of the India's lagest manufacturer of AIR conditioners had a need to simulate multiple situations and scenarios coupled with a testing facility wherein environmental conditions and behaviours of their in-door unit outdoor units could be analysed whilst keeping a strict vigil on the manipulating variables of their Air-conditioning Systems.
It was required to simulate moisture, dry, wet and other type of environmental conditions as per requirements of the research engineers and be able to make variations within these parameters seamlessly.
CHALLENGE ASSESSMENT
Understanding the nature of operations and the sequencing of simulation of test conditions and dispatch was crucial to assess the points for inspection and propose potential solutions.
The team consolidated a strategy, identifying the optimal sensors, Pumps, Compressors and controllers along with software systems. There were multiple types of sensor units and the feedback system to monitor and control the conditions. This change in perspective and variance posed some challenges that could affect the exact conditions simulation.
1. PID controller must be given exact throughput as per required.
2. Some algorithms must running in parallel to simulate the different conditions.
IMPACT STATEMENT
Ceryletech is glad to have implemented a solution that dovetails into the test lab system, has resulted in expected accuracy in in simulation of environment. Testing data also can be stored and reports were given for R&D analysis.
Solution
Allen Bradly PLC and LabVIEW based monitor and control solution proposed to client. There were more than 5000 tags PLC software developed with LabVIEW based SCADA system, with a ‘learning’ facility incorporated, permitting operators to train the system to adjust or add new models.
